The Leading 60 available players from the 2022 PGA Tour of Australasia exemption Categories
The Leading 60 available players from the 2023 DP World Tour Exemption Categories excluding Categories 6 and 8. (The top 5 regulation applies from the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship into this tournament).
A maximum of 4 Tournament invitations from Golf Australia
A maximum of 14 Tournament invitations at the discretion of the Tournament Committee
The leading 6 players from the qualifying tournament**.
Eligibility Notes
Australasian players who are members of and exempt through both Tours will be treated as follows: If exempt through the PGA Tour of Australasia, will be entered through a) above, otherwise will be entered through b) above.
Players from outside of Australasia who are members of and exempt through both Tours sanctioning the tournament will be treated as follows: If exempt through the DP World Tour, will be entered through b) above, otherwise will be entered through a) above.
When a Player who is a member of both Tours becomes Exempt, he will remain allocated to the Tour under which he first became Exempt, even if he subsequently becomes Exempt through his “home” Tour.
In the event that there are unallocated spots in any of b) to d) above then the spots in a) above will be increased accordingly.
**Qualifying tournaments
DP World Tour members will be allowed to enter the qualifying tournament. At close of entries, those DPWT members not exempt will be asked if they want to enter the qualifying tournament.
Format
72 holes stroke play with a cut after 2 rounds to the leading 60 professionals and ties.
Played over 2 courses – (Victoria GC and Kingston Heath GC) for the 1st 2 rounds, all competitors will play 1 round on each course alongside 2 separate events for (i) 144 Female professionals and (ii) 12 all ability golfers with alternating groups for the 3 events.
The 3rd and 4th rounds will be played at Victoria GC with a cut to the leading 30 players and ties in the men’s event after 3 rounds. Those missing the 54-hole cut will be awarded prize money and points based on their finishing positions after 3 rounds.
